Plan and Schedule Courses

Prior to your advising appointment, you will be placed in the required introductory courses for your major (usually two) and your First Year Seminar class.

If you鈥檝e indicated to us that you鈥檙e undeclared, you will also be registered for at least two courses that will help you clarify your academic direction. Regardless of what major you eventually choose, these particular courses will apply towards your graduation requirements.

1. Let us know about AP courses

If you have completed any advanced placement course and achieved a score of 3, 4, or 5, and want to request 天美影音直播 review and award credit for the AP course, remember to request your official transcripts be sent to 天美影音直播 from the College Board, administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). It is recommended that you send your AP scores as soon as possible, and you provide the information to the professional advisor when you meet to select classes and build your fall class schedule.

2. Let us know about transfer credits

If you have completed courses with a grade of C or higher at another college, and plan on transferring those credits to 天美影音直播, remember to request official transcripts from any colleges you attended be sent to 天美影音直播 to start the credit evaluation process. It is recommended that you send your transcript ASAP, and you provide the information to the professional advisor when you meet to select classes and build your fall class schedule.

3. Register for a Course Registration Session

From mid-April through June, students will be sent an email to register for a 30-minute virtual advising session. Your pre-selected courses will be loaded in Student Planning. During these sessions, you will work with a professional academic advisor to learn how to navigate Student Planning and select your other courses (usually two). There will be an opportunity to inform the advisor if you are interested in pursuing a new major or minor. Please be prepared to provide information on AP or transfer credits, if relevant.

After your advising session, your class schedule can be found in Student Planning, which can be accessed from through the Course Registration quick app launcher. Click My Class Schedule and follow the prompts.

3. Learn the components of a 天美影音直播 degree

At Keene State, a typical semester course is worth four credits, and 120 credits are required for graduation. Although you are considered a full-time student with 12 credits per semester, we urge students to enroll in 16 credits to graduate on time.

A student will be eligible to graduate once they have completed all major and minor requirements, Integrative Studies Program (ISP) requirements, and have reached at least 120 credits.

4. Schedule Adjustment

We will provide an opportunity for you to adjust your schedule during August Welcome Days. Before you drop any classes, be sure to have a discussion with an academic advisor.
